AXYZ announces first UK installation of new Infinite CNC router

Leading developer and manufacturer of LED and solar lighting systems and controls to the sign industry, Bicester, Oxfordshire-based Zeta Specialist Lighting has become the first company in the UK to install the new Infinite multi-purpose CNC router recently introduced by ISA-UK member AXYZ Automation Group. Part of the Zeta Group, the company has provided lighting solutions to many high-profile signage projects and is renowned for the quality and reliability of its products.

According to Zeta Managing Director Adrian Dennis, “the decision to purchase the AXYZ Infinite machine followed assessment of alternative machines and was based on the known reliability, flexibility and price-to- performance capabilities of AXYZ machines recognised by other AXYZ machine owners. The deal was concluded at this year’s Sign & Digital UK in Birmingham. Adrian Dennis added: “The AXYZ Infinite router will more than treble our production capacity and the service and technical advice provided by AXYZ has been outstanding and helped in the purchasing process.”

The AXYZ Infinite to be installed at Zeta is the 6010 model. It features a seven-station ATC (Automatic Tool Change) system for work requiring multiple tools, a 10HP high-performance routing spindle and the latest AXYZ helical rack and pinion drive system. This latter feature helps spread the workload more efficiently to reduce machine wear and radically enhance machine performance and lifespan. The Infinite router is supported by VCarve Pro design and production software which was supplied as part of a package by AXYZ Automation Group and which enables complex 2D and/or 3D work to be undertaken.
