The recent networking event hosted by Women in Signs and Graphics at Sign & Digital UK proved to be a powerful celebration of collaboration, community, and the growing influence of women across the signage and visual communications industry.
Held at the NEC in Birmingham, the event brought together professionals from across the sector for an engaging and inspiring networking session. Designed to create meaningful connections and highlight opportunities for women within the industry, the gathering welcomed both new and experienced professionals eager to share ideas, experiences, and ambitions.
A key highlight of the event was the continued collaboration between Women in Signs and Graphics and the British Sign and Graphics Association (BSGA). This was our first opportunity to promote us working together with shared goals. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the industry by championing diversity, supporting talent, and creating platforms for knowledge exchange. By working together, both organisations aim to expand initiatives that promote equality, education, and innovation within the signage and graphics community.
Founded by Izabella Ivanovici and myself Sarah Fenna , Women in Signs and Graphics was created to inspire, encourage, and promote women working across the signage and graphics industry. Since launching in 2020, the organisation has grown from a standing start into a thriving international network with more than 400 members, reflecting the increasing appetite for connection, support, and visibility for women in the sector.
The networking session at Sign & Digital UK provided attendees with the opportunity to meet industry peers, exchange insights, and build valuable professional relationships in an inclusive and supportive environment. Conversations ranged from career development and mentorship to attracting the next generation of talent into the industry.
The success of the event also builds on the momentum created in 2025, when Women in Signs and Graphics hosted a successful gathering at Project Display. The event was generously sponsored by the company and helped bring together members of the community for an evening of networking and industry discussion.
Following the strong response to both events, Women in Signs and Graphics is already planning more networking opportunities and initiatives throughout 2026, continuing its mission to grow the community and support women at every stage of their careers.
As the organisation continues to expand, the success of these events highlights not only the progress already being made but also the exciting future ahead as more voices, perspectives, and leaders emerge within the signage and graphics industry.
If anyone would like to discuss with us further, please don’t hesitate to contact us , we are always happy to discuss new ideas and listen to what our members would like our community to support them with.
