Who Runs BSGA?

BSGA is run by a council of elected members, all of which serve in a voluntary capacity.

The full council meets four times per year and the various activities of the association are organized by committees. Each committee is chaired by a member of the council and includes BSGA members and advisors co-oped for their specialist knowledge.

We seek to raise industry specific standards, communicate best practices, and increase and support the development of a diverse and inclusive signage community.

David Allen

President

David is currently Managing Director of Allen Signs, a multi-service, family-run business that has been producing a wide range of signage applications since it was founded by his parents in 1965.

Allen Signs’ own affiliation with the modern-day BSGA stretches all the way back to the early 1970s, with the company having been part of the organisation’s network for almost 50 years.

“My father always believed membership of a recognised trade body was vital to show to customers that he was serious about his business and the service he delivered,” David said. “Nearly 50 years later, to take over the presidency of that same association is something I’m very proud to do.

“To be following in the footsteps of some of the best-known names in our trade is humbling. Like those that have gone before me, I hope I can continue to add value to the association.”
