Spandex partners with Nathan Edwards Racing for 2026

Spandex Showcases AUTO Drift in Partnership with Nathan Edwards Racing

Bristol, United Kingdom – 5th May 2026 – Spandex, a leading global supplier to the vehicle wrapping industry, has partnered with rising British racing driver Nathan Edwards for the 2026 season.

Competing in the MINI CHALLENGE JCW Championship, the official support series to the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), Edwards will take to the track in a striking new livery produced using AUTO Drift – the digital print wrap developed through a collaboration between Spandex and ORAFOL.
Following a strong 2025 campaign, which delivered 4 race wins, 4 pole positions and 9 podium finishes across the final 11 races, Edwards enters the 2026 season as a serious championship contender. With races broadcast live on ITV4, the championship provides a high-profile platform within the UK’s premier motorsport series.

Showcasing AUTO Drift Across the 2026 Season

The partnership offers Spandex the opportunity to showcase AUTO Drift across seven race weekends nationwide, in front of an average event attendance of over 30,000 spectators, alongside a highly engaged automotive audience.

Edwards’ race car has been expertly wrapped by Vinyl Detail using AUTO Drift digital print wrap film. Featuring advanced ProSlide technology, the material allows installers to reposition graphics smoothly during application, enabling precise alignment of complex designs before final adhesion. This ensures a high-quality finish while reducing installation time and material waste – particularly valuable across a demanding race season where rapid repairs and refinements are essential.

Luke Odell, Automotive Development Manager at Spandex UK, said:
“AUTO Drift was created to support installers when precision, efficiency and finish really matter. Motorsport is a perfect proving ground because the pressures are real and the standards are unforgiving. Partnering with Nathan Edwards Racing allows us to demonstrate AUTO Drift in an environment where repositionability, reliability and speed aren’t ‘nice to have’ – they’re essential.”

Nathan Edwards commented:
“I’ve always been obsessed with race car liveries, so partnering with a leading global supplier like Spandex is genuinely exciting for me. AUTO Drift digital print wrap is a serious piece of technology. In our environment, where speed and efficiency are everything, it allows Vinyl Detail to make quick changes across a race weekend. It’s also given our installers the confidence to reposition and accurately align graphics, enabling a more complex livery that brings our 2026 design to life and delivers real visibility for our partners on track and across live TV coverage. Bringing AUTO Drift to the biggest motorsport platform in the UK is a brilliant opportunity, and I’m looking forward to welcoming members of the Spandex network to events across the season to see the action first-hand. We’ve created a livery that really stands out — now it’s about turning that into results on track.”

Keep your eyes peeled for the full 2026 livery reveal ahead of Round 1, which will be unveiled across Nathan’s social channels @nathanedwardsracing.
The 2026 MINI CHALLENGE JCW season begins at Donington Park on 18–19 April, where members of the Spandex Approved Installer Network will be in attendance. The partnership will be activated across all rounds, offering ongoing engagement opportunities throughout the year.
