A huge thank you to the team behind The Sign Show for bringing the UK signage and graphics industry together at the NEC Birmingham. The event provided an excellent opportunity for the BSGA team to reconnect with our members, engage with industry colleagues, and welcome familiar and new faces to the BSGA Route Area.
The Sign Show brought together a broad cross section of our industry, from manufacturers and suppliers to signmakers, installers, designers and end users. The breadth of organisations represented demonstrated the strength and diversity of the UK signage and graphics sector, whilst creating a valuable environment for people to discover new opportunities, share knowledge and build relationships.
For me, one of the most rewarding aspects of the event was seeing the BSGA Route Area become a genuine point of connection within the exhibition. Rather than operating as a traditional exhibition stand, it provided somewhere visitors could come to talk, ask questions, seek guidance and gain a broader understanding of the industry around them.
Throughout the show, we had conversations with visitors from across the sector, each with different requirements, interests and levels of experience. Being able to listen to what they were looking for and help identify relevant areas of the exhibition created opportunities for meaningful engagement. Where appropriate, we were also able to introduce visitors to exhibitors and BSGA members whose expertise and services aligned with their needs.
The experience demonstrated the value of having an independent industry voice within an event of this scale. With so many businesses, products, services and technologies represented, navigating the exhibition could be challenging. The BSGA Route Area provided an opportunity to add context, improve relevance and help connect people with the organisations and information most useful to them.

The Sign Show also gave the BSGA team valuable time with our members and industry colleagues. Face to face conversations remain one of the most effective ways to understand the challenges and opportunities facing our sector. Listening to the experiences of those working across different disciplines reinforced the importance of collaboration, communication and sharing knowledge across the industry.
The event was also a reminder of the expertise, dedication and professionalism that exists throughout the UK signage and graphics community. From established businesses and experienced professionals to those developing their careers and entering the industry, there was a clear willingness to share experience, make connections and support one another.
For the BSGA, being present at events such as The Sign Show is about more than visibility. It is about being available to our members and the wider industry, listening to the conversations taking place, understanding the issues that matter to businesses, and providing support where we can. The BSGA Route Area gave us a practical way to put that commitment into action.
For me, the most valuable outcome was seeing connections being made. A conversation could lead to an introduction, an introduction could lead to a new relationship, and a simple question could open the door to information or expertise that might otherwise have been missed.
That is the strength of our industry when we come together.
The Sign Show demonstrated the value of bringing our sector together, and the BSGA Route Area gave us an opportunity to help people find their way through it.
Together, we can continue to navigate, connect and champion the UK signage and graphics industry.
