Spandex to host hardware open days in Bristol

Live demonstrations from Roland DG, Epson, Summa and Vivid on 10th and 11th November, with free business health checks and lunch included

Spandex is opening its Bristol headquarters on 10th and 11th November for a two-day Hardware Open Day, aimed at businesses considering new print, finishing or cutting equipment. Visitors can drop in any time between 10am and 4pm on either day, see the machines in operation and speak with Spandex’s hardware team and manufacturers’ specialists.

The event is free, with registration recommended, and tea, coffee and lunch are provided. For anyone planning an equipment investment in the coming months, it is a chance to compare several machines side by side under one roof before making a decision.

What’s on show

Roland DG brings the bulk of the line-up. The TrueVIS XP-640 is a 64-inch high-speed eco-solvent printer, which Roland says is twice as productive as its previous TrueVIS print-only model. Alongside it are the XG-640 eco-solvent printer/cutter, the MG-300 30-inch UV printer/cutter and the AP-640 resin ink printer.

Epson will showcase the SureColor S9100, Summa will bring its T160 cutter, and Vivid will present the VeloBlade Nexus. On the finishing side, there is also the Roll-X applicator and the EasyMount laminator range.

Software gets a look in too. Spandex will talk through workflow and RIP software, including ONYX, and discuss Canon workflow solutions.

A health check for the business

Visitors can also book a one-to-one business health check with Spandex’s hardware specialists. It is a review of how a business runs now, where production is held up, and what could be done about it. Adam Booth, Spandex Head of Hardware, and Chris Holmes, Hardware Sales Manager, will be there across both days, and Spandex is running event-only offers on selected hardware.

Buying new hardware is a big decision, and most of us would rather watch a machine in action than read a brochure about it. Two days at Aztec West, with lunch included, is a sensible way to do exactly that.
