BSGA Board sets the stage for future growth with key leadership appointments and strategic initiatives

For the first time since the pandemic, the BSGA Board of Directors gathered in person for a dynamic and forward-looking meeting chaired by David Allen, President of the BSGA. Held in November 2024, this meeting marked a significant milestone in the association’s journey, with key updates and strategic discussions shaping the future of the UK signage industry.

In addition to the in-person meeting, the Board also meets virtually on the first Friday of each month to ensure that initiatives stay on track, discussions remain current, and the Association is agile in addressing industry developments.

A highlight of the meeting was the welcoming of Craig Brown as the Association’s new Chairman. With his extensive network within the signage industry, Craig continues to cultivate valuable connections and insights to strengthen the BSGA’s advocacy efforts and support member growth. His deep understanding of the sector and relationships with key stakeholders will continue to drive initiatives that enhance industry standards and address the evolving needs of BSGA members.

The Board also celebrated the appointment of Linda Edwards as the new Managing Director, a transformative appointment that will propel the association into its next phase of growth. Linda brings a fresh vision to the future of the BSGA, focusing on enhancing member engagement, optimising operations, and supporting financial strength, together with positioning the BSGA as the authoritative voice in the industry, driving growth and influence. As a passionate advocate for education and training, she is committed to empowering members with the resources and skills they need to succeed. Her leadership is set to bring a cohesive approach to advancing the Association’s objectives and ensuring its relevance in a rapidly evolving sector

Jack Gocher, provided an update on the Association’s marketing efforts, highlighting new initiatives aimed at increasing visibility and strengthening engagement with both members and the wider signage sector. Sue Hewick, Office Manager, also shared key operational updates, including improvements to member services and systems, ensuring the BSGA continues to meet member needs efficiently.
