Defending the industry

As the UK sign and graphics industry’s leading trade association, we’re extremely proud of the innovative work our members do and of the way that the sector is growing.  We’ll celebrate this at any given opportunity.

However, we’re also prepared to play ‘bad cop’ if the need arises, in order to ensure that the general public does not fall foul of unprofessional or unscrupulous sign companies.

It was recently brought to our attention that a company was promoting Neon signs on its website with inaccurate and misleading information.  We undertook a review of the information on the website and our technical committee was asked to make recommendations as to what needed to be changed.

We contacted the company, explained our concerns and respectfully asked them to make the necessary changes to their site to ensure that information provided to potential customers was correct.  We also explained the course of action open to us should they decide to ignore our request.

ISA-UK fights tooth and nail for its members and the wider sign and graphics industry.  That includes taking action when we become aware of organisations whose actions could have a negative impact on the reputation of the wider sector.

Please contact us if you believe ISA-UK should be made aware of any mis-selling, misleading information or false advertising within the industry.
