New solution allows sign-makers to install a long-lasting signage system with replaceable printed content

Sign Trade Supplies has launched the KOPA Lectern System, an angled information panel that mounts on 76mm posts and is supplied to sign-makers as a flat-packed kit. It is available in three sizes, with visible artwork areas of A3, A2 and A1, manufactured from solid aluminium and powder-coated black as standard. All fixings required for assembly are included in the box. The sign-maker supplies the printed panel.
KOPA Lectern has a removable bezel, so the printed panel can be changed without disturbing the posts or foundation. This reduces cost and material waste for customers, while providing repeat print work for the sign-maker.
Garrick Dartnell, head of marketing at Sign Trade Supplies, explains, “Lecterns have traditionally been a difficult product for the trade to quote on. The KOPA Lectern gives sign makers a specified system they can order in single units, while the print work stays with them. The structure is a one-time cost for the end client, and the panel becomes a consumable that is potential repeat business for the sign-maker.”
The system gives the trade a route into a market that has previously required bespoke fabrication. Lecterns for heritage sites, museums, gardens and visitor trails have typically been produced as one-off welded units, which is difficult to cost competitively in low volumes.
The kit includes a back tray with brackets, a front bezel, and the posts. Posts bolt to the back tray using the fixings provided, the printed panel rests on the tray, and the bezel secures over the top with Torx security fixings. The sign-maker produces the panel on their own equipment, keeping the print element of the job in-house.
There is no minimum order quantity, and kits are shipped nationwide. The A3 kit gives a visible artwork area of 420 × 297mm on a single 76mm post, while the A2 and A1 kits, at 594 × 420mm and 841 × 594mm respectively, are supplied with twin 76mm posts.

The frame, posts, and mounting brackets are aluminium throughout, and base posts are supplied to be set into a concrete foundation. Black powder coat is standard, custom powder coating is available to match a client scheme, and the system accepts Decro wood effect posts for heritage and garden settings.
Garrick concludes, “A new printed display is an easier proposition to sell than replacing a complete signage unit. This solution provides all the benefits of KOPA, including quality, durability and versatility of style, while keeping the sign-maker connected to their customers for repeat business.”
