As seen on the Business Desk, the shortlist has been revealed for the North West Growth Awards 2027
This will see SPi attending the awards ceremony at the Midland Hotel in Manchester on March 11th next year with not 1 but 2 nominations for “Scale-Up of the Year” and “Emerging Growth Leader”
Director, Joseph Derbyshire, said:
“This has landed in the middle of our busiest spell yet. We’re finishing off the two biggest projects we’ve done all year, we’re starting work on some of the biggest things we’ve ever been asked to quote, and our third install van is in being wrapped this week. We’ve also just signed for a new flatbed press and we’re putting a mezzanine in to make room for it, which is the biggest single investment we’ve ever made.
The company shortlist I understand. The personal one sits stranger, because almost none of it is me.
It’s the workshop actually making it, It’s the install teams out on site at six in the morning, it’s design, operations, the office holding the whole thing together and it’s my dad, who built this business still picking up the phone at seven in the morning.
I also wouldn’t have applied at all without our friends at Luma Marketing, who got me along to the event where someone first suggested I should. Thank you for that.
Judges are coming out to see us before Christmas, which is the part that actually counts. Ceremony is in March at The Midland.
