The Printing Charity launches the Wellbeing Community

Free support and resources to help print businesses further embed workplace wellbeing within their teams

The Printing Charity has launched the Wellbeing Community, free, tailored support to help
those responsible for workplace wellbeing within sector businesses further support their
teams.

Everyone who plays a part in workplace wellbeing in their business, in any way – for
example, through an HR role, as a mental health first aider, a people manager, a business
owner or as a member of a wellbeing team – can sign up to tap into the Community’s free,
off-the-shelf resources, guidance and content.

April is Stress Awareness Month.

This year’s theme is #BeTheChange, which concentrates on
taking action for a positive impact. In launching the Wellbeing Community, the Printing
Charity plans to help businesses create that positive impact for their staff. Wellbeing
Community members have access to in-person support from Printing Charity relationship
managers, available for on-site visits and roadshows as needed; and guidance, information
and materials, including expert-led workplace wellbeing webinars and presentations, and
topic toolkits to help with specific issues, all ready to be shared throughout their businesses.

“We know that supporting workplace wellbeing effectively really matters to businesses in
our sectors,” explains Printing Charity CEO Neil Lovell. “We hear this time and again from
people we work with, and findings from the sector-wide research we ran last summer
reinforced it: more than seven in ten have a strong sense of workplace belonging and
inclusion. But we also know from the same conversations that for people leading businesses
in our sectors it can feel daunting and challenging to know how to develop a workplace
wellbeing programme, particularly against the backdrop of so many competing demands for
their time. The Wellbeing Community is a route through which the Printing Charity can help
wellbeing champions in businesses #BeTheChange by accessing workplace wellbeing
support entirely free of charge, offering straightforward and tailored resources for
businesses of all sizes.”

Making workplace wellbeing a priority is not only the right thing to do for people; it’s proven
to have a positive impact on businesses’ bottom lines, too. A large-scale study from
academic partners including the London School of Economics found that a ‘meaningful
increase’ in employee wellbeing yields, on average, a productivity increase of around 10%.
