Description

We are a further education college situated in Walsall in the West Midlands.

The Signmaking department at the College began in 1984 delivering City & Guilds 593 basic and advanced courses in Signwork.

1993 saw the advent of NVQs in Signmaking in conjunction with the BSA (British Sign Association) and BPTA (British Polymer Training Association).

The majority of our learners are apprentices in the Sign Industry, however we do cater for stand alone NVQ levels 2 and 3. The new level 3 Signage Technician Apprenticeship Standards were introduced in 2021 and the first apprentices will reach end point assessment early in 2023.

Our apprentices are demographically located throughout England.

The Signmaking Department has 2 Vocational Coaches/Trainer-Assessors at present with vast industry experience.
