A huge thank you to Signs Express for inviting the BSGA to their 2026 Convention at Alton Towers on Friday 16th January 2026!
Events like this are always a highlight of the industry calendar, but what makes them truly worthwhile is the people – operators, leaders, suppliers, and partners coming together to share ideas, collaborate, and tackle the opportunities and challenges facing our sector.
For the team and me, attending events like this is about more than simply being present. It is a chance to listen, learn, and guide our community toward shared progress. Meeting directly with members and industry stakeholders keeps us connected to the realities businesses face and ensures our work reflects the needs of the individuals and organisations we represent.
One of the highlights for me was presenting the ‘Network Champion’ award to Cathy Johnston (Signs Express – Belfast) on behalf of the BSGA, who proudly sponsored the category. This award recognises individuals who consistently support, collaborate, and contribute positively to the wider Signs Express network – congratulations to Cathy on a very well-deserved recognition!
The Convention also provided an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the value of BSGA membership. Through conversations with attendees, we highlighted how the Association supports businesses and individuals in practical ways – from sharing best practice and professional development to offering resources and connections that can enhance marketing strategies and increase visibility. Being present at these events also reinforces the BSGA’s role as a trusted, professional, and connected voice for the signage industry.
What I value most are the moments where collaboration moves from conversation to meaningful action. When knowledge and experience are shared openly, we all benefit – best practice is strengthened, new ideas emerge, and together we build a stronger, more united industry.
If you are passionate about shaping best practice, supporting professional development, and contributing to a sector that values people as much as performance, now is the time to engage with the BSGA.
Membership is not just about being part of a network – it is about influence, connection, and making a tangible impact.
Together, we can continue to champion our industry and strengthen the voice of our signage community.
