The winners chose to attend the Application and Finishing Course where they learned how to prepare and apply vinyl, from flood coating, to applying print to board and windows. They were also taught basic lamination and mounting techniques.
The attendees included people who were new to digital print and others who were looking to diversify into sign-making from other allied industries.
As Marc Busby, Roland DG Academy Trainer, said: “Often it is the application and finishing tasks of sign-making that concern new customers most, from how to put lettering on a sign or vehicle to how to apply graphics to windows.
“ This course shows you how to prepare, apply and ensure a smooth bubble-free finish, and is a not-to-be-missed experience for anyone who is new to wide-format or is looking to refresh their skills”.
