Frank Moran, visual communications strategic development director for Antalis, has recently been appointed as a member of the BSGA (British Sign & Graphics Association) Council.
The BSGA is the UK’s leading trade organisation for the sign industry. 80% of BSGA membership is from small to medium sized businesses and it is the Association’s aim to help those businesses raise their profile and standards by way of a better quality product and service.
David Catanach, director for the BSGA, explains: “People will pay for quality and service – the BSGA helps create a business market where this can be achieved. We do this by way of guidance from everybody on the Council expressing their views and knowledge to the benefit of the industry, not just their own business. In achieving this, sign companies will be valued by their clients and customers as a professional, competent and qualified supplier, justifying a fair price for goods and services rather than just looking for the cheapest offer.”
Frank Moran comments: “Antalis has been a member of the BSGA since 2015. It is an extremely well recognised and respected professional body which serves as a conduit between customers and suppliers. During my 30 years in the industry, I’ve always considered it to be a great board for discussion and debate.
“To now be invited onto the Council is very touching. I’m very pleased indeed to be able to offer my expertise and make a personal contribution to the Association. By being more deeply involved as a Council Member, I will be able to share my knowledge and specialisms in supply chain, product applicationsand how technology is changing the sector.”
David Catanach adds: “Frank’s experience in dealing with many sign companies, materials and material suppliers will add to the collective knowledge of both the BSGA and its Council. This in turn will help usmove further forward in representing and supporting the industry in a professional and competent way that champions the best aims of all those in the sign industry who are serious about their business and profession.”
Frank Moran was proposed, seconded and voted on to the BSGA Council by other members of the BSGA at this year’s AGM. For further information about the BSGA, visit bsga.co.uk. For information about the Antalis range of visual communication products, visit antalis.co.uk.
