Important Guidance Notes from the BSGA

The notes are setting out important aspects of legal obligations for both sign companies and their customers and are designed to be used by sign companies as a tool when discussing the subject matter with their customer. These notes will demonstrate to the customer (and the sign company) that the legal responsibilities and legislation are already in place, that they are not a myth and that non-compliance isn’t an option.

Both Guidance notes are lodged in the Member’s Area of the BSGA website for you to download and use as you see fit. Please login to the Member’s Area using your username and password.

Those BSGA Member Sign Companies who take note of these guidelines and act accordingly will, we believe, have a distinct commercial advantage over sign companies who ignore (or are ignorant of) these requirements. It is however envisaged that a time will come when every sign company and their customers will be aware of these obligations and have to take the appropriate measures.

The guidance notes are:

2014.06/2 EN1090 Fabrication and Assembly – CE Marking of Sign Structures
