“We aim to use the best materials available,” emphasises director Will Hamblin. “So we use 3M for the quality and reputation of the materials, which provides a guarantee for ourselves as we know they are reliable and unlikely to fail. We have had issues in the past with other materials, but we’re happy to recommend 3M products to our customers and many of them also ask for it.”
In particular, 3M 1080 Series is used for full colour change wraps, roofs and detailing, while IJ380 is used extensively by Wrap Kings for promotional printing and wraps on a wide range of commercial vehicles.
Will Hamblin continues: ”We especially like the satin finish and choice of colours in the 1080 Series and the print quality on IJ380 is the best by far as it takes the ink, holds its colours, and we get a perfect job every time. The Controltac adhesive on both materials allows easy bubble-free positioning, which has enabled us to speed up our install time as we can lay the film down much faster.”
Wrap Kings also used 3M 1080 Series when they entered the FESPA 2013 Wrapmaster tournament in which Will Hamblin achieved world ranking 7th and a UK ranking of 2nd in the singles category and, together with brother Ben, achieved 4th world ranking position and UK No.1 in the doubles category.

3M 1080 Series is a long term, removable dual cast solid colour film that has been designed with sufficient rigidity to allow easy handling without the need for application tape. With up to six years durability, these films offer excellent opacity and are highly weather resistant. 1080 Series is suitable for flat surfaces and simple curves.
