Preparation is the key to a good vehicle wrap, or any other graphic or film application. For example, for correct preparation and cleaning of vehicle surfaces prior to wrapping, 3M recommends use of their proven Surface Preparation Cleaner. Previously only available as a 5 litre container, this can now be purchased in a handy 1 litre bottle. Other products include graffiti removers, graphic removers, edge sealers and adhesive removers for effective removal of residue.
A Spraymaster bottle is also available for use with 3M Surface Preparation Cleaner and other preparation and cleaning fluids. With a range of up to 3 metres, the Spraymaster releases a powerful mist which provides greater surface coverage, enabling easier and more efficient cleaning.
Another new addition is a range of infrared thermometers with easy to read LCD display. Ideal for use during post heating of vehicle wrap applications, these give accurate temperature readings to ensure that manufacturers’ guidelines for post heating after application of the vinyl can be followed correctly.
