The Competition will be held in conjunction with The European SignExpo, organised jointly by ESF and Fespa ( Federation of European Screen Print Associations) to be held in Munich, May 20th-23rd, 2014.

The concept of the competition is as follows:

“The Millennium Shopping Mall will be the subject of a re-branding and resigning project. The name of the Mall remains but a new Logo is needed, the rest of the outside facade will not be changed in any way but new signage will be added. At present there are few signs in the building. Your task is to evaluate, improve and redesign the existing signage system, based on new technologies available, both now and in the future. For example- way finding, public information, store fascias, shop directory, directional, safety information, message centres, information displays, but these examples are not restrictive.

NOTE: Examples of current registered Brands cannot be used in store fascia designs.

There will be no restriction in the sizes of signs but visuality within the overall design will be a significant factor.

Specific attention must be given to;

The type of materials used, method of construction, sustainability, illumination, green footprint and recycling. A written explanation, of no more than 500 words, describing the manufacturing specification and parameters used must be included with the entry.
