Boosting sustainability 🌳 🌳 🌳
It was a great day at 4site recently with a first HUGE collection of scrap ACM panels and offcuts. The team have been carefully prepping and organising 100s of panels from finished jobs ready to be recycled. 💪🏼
Having partnered with Multipanel UK, Ltd and Perspex Distribution Ltd 4site are now implementing a closed-loop scheme for customers who use ACM (aluminium composite material). Multipanel’s Alupanel® materials are manufactured in the UK and distributed by Perspex in Essex, reducing delivery mileage and therefore ensuring a low carbon footprint. Alupanel® can be used for all sorts of eye-catching displays, including site hoardings, development signs and much more.
Recycling aluminium requires 95% less energy, generates 95% less emissions, and creates 97% less water pollution than manufacturing primary aluminium. Alupanel® products are completely recyclable; the aluminium is separated and goes to local downcycling and the LDPE core material is ground into small pellets and returned to MPUK for use in future panels helping further diminish the O2 footprint.
David Reeson, Director at 4Site commented: “Aluminium Composites revolutionised the signage industry in the 1990s – now we’re proud and delighted to be part of the next revolution. Fully recyclable ACM eliminates offcut waste, closes the loop and makes ACM more sustainable than ever, which is a win for us, our clients and the planet.”
4site are looking forward to a continued collaboration and to keeping it green!
