CNC Router proving a hit in the Sign Shop

We meet Paul Llewellyn, Production Supervisor for the Sign Shop who shows us the exciting piece of machinery that saves time and money, while producing high quality work.

The CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Router is a computer – controlled cutting machine which is used for cutting various hard materials such as wood, composites, plastics and foams.

Paul tells us more about the current project: “We are currently using the CNC Router to create a memory tree for Rowcroft Hospice in Torquay. This involves cutting out repeated patterns through 25 mm clear acrylic.

“The machine allows us to get real high quality precision with every cut ensuring detail and accuracy.

“We will be installing the memory tree next week once it is finished which will showcase just some of the high quality work we can produce with this fantastic machine.”

A CNC Router is able to produce consistent and high quality work and improves productivity in the shop – automation and precision are the key benefits of the machine.

It also reduces waste, frequency of errors, and production time.
