“We knew that no standard vinyl would stand the test of time, except for vehicle wrap materials,” says Sign Plus key account manager Rick Bruce. “We contacted William Smith who recommended the Arlon range of materials and sent samples. We then applied these to trailers in our yard and left them for four months. We selected DPF 8000 as it clearly stood up to the test and gave us the confidence to use it for this high profile project on what is Scotland’s largest infrastructure contract for a generation.
Sign Plus, working closely with FCBC and their photographer then created what may be the largest external wrap in Scotland featuring an image of the new bridge. Application of the final graphic took three fitters 15 days to complete.
“We had not used the material before but found it very easy to apply,” continued Rick Bruce. “Very little work was required and it has now been in place for nine months, during which time it has become a real talking point for the Rosyth business community.”
“The service from William Smith was fantastic, with everything we ordered being delivered within 24 to 48 hours,” he concludes.
