With nearly 800 franchisees across nine countries, FASTSIGNS has been shaping the way signs and graphics are delivered for more than 40 years in the US and over 30 years in the UK.

“FASTSIGNS has a proven franchise business model,” says John Davies, FASTSIGNS’ Managing Director in the UK, who has been at the helm of the UK team for more than a decade. “It enables franchisees to own and operate their own successful signage and graphics business, benefiting from our wealth of knowledge, operating systems, supply partners, marketing programmes, and strong brand presence. It means our franchisees have a competitive advantage in the marketplace.”
It’s a model that works not only for seasoned sign makers but also for people new to the industry. As John explains: “FASTSIGNS can support an individual, without any previous experience in the sector, via its comprehensive training and support programmes, to run their own business and achieve the success they desire, by being in business for themselves, but not by themselves.”
A Longstanding BSGA Member
The company is also a familiar name in the BSGA. “As long as I have been in office, FASTSIGNS has been a member of the BSGA,” John says. “My predecessor was also employed by FASTSIGNS for approximately eight years. I know he valued being a member, too. So FASTSIGNS has been an active member of the BSGA for nearly 20 years.”
For John, the value of membership is clear. “It is a well-respected trade association that brings a myriad of benefits to its members, from providing advice and support to maintaining industry standards, to making training opportunities available. Being part of the association brings benefits to any business, no matter the size or area of specialisation.”
Why The Sign Show?
This year, FASTSIGNS will be on the floor at The Sign Show, where they’ll be showcasing opportunities to join their network.
“As always, we are looking to expand and grow our network,” John says. “We felt this exhibition was a great opportunity to present and promote the FASTSIGNS franchise opportunities to people who work within or are interested in this sector. We have three franchise opportunities: Co-Branding, where we partner with a complementary business; Conversion, where a business that currently operates in our sector wishes to convert their business to trade under the FASTSIGNS brand; and Brand New Greenfield franchise opportunities.”
The team’s goals at the show are simple: to promote the FASTSIGNS brand and spark conversations with visitors who may not realise what opportunities are available. “Visitors can expect to meet passionate members of the FASTSIGNS Support team, representing the brand in a professional, knowledgeable and inspiring way,” John says. “Oh, and maybe benefit from receiving a goody bag!”
A Message for Attendees
John has a straightforward message for those still on the fence about attending: “By choosing to visit the show, you have already made the first important step to educating and inspiring yourself into the different suppliers, products and innovations within our industry. By stopping by the FASTSIGNS stand, you might also learn about a new business opportunity that could be of interest to you; one that will enable you to be in business for yourself and not by yourself.”
